I love this pattern. Well written instructions, a fairly quick sew. This purse has so much room! The inside has a hidden zippered pocket, perfect for cell phone, or little things. It also has room from top to bottom, along with the outside zippered pockets. Everyone loves my purse! I made mine in a silver alligator vinyl, so sharp. Very proud of this, and will be making more. Thanks for helping me swoon over your patterns.

My sister has an active two year old and asked for a crossbody purse so she could have her hands free. The outside pockets give quick access to things used frequently and the option to use it as a tote when you have more stuff is awesome. I ended up making three more… one for my niece, one for my mom and one for me (of course). We are tall women so I made the straps longer and also made matching key rings that clip on to the long strap’s D-rings to make finding keys easier when dealing with a toddler. Step by step instructions were clear… especially with the great pictures. Can’t wait to try more patterns.

I got this pattern only a couple of days ago and have already made 2 bags – originally for my upcoming trip to Disney World, but I’ve already been using them every day! Super easy to make – very clear instructions. I modified mine slightly (had the top zipper end non-sewn – if that makes sense – so that it makes it easier to pull). I didn’t add the top handles as I only plan to wear this as a fold-over bag, and I also added internal pockets in the lining. My point, though, is that it’s very easy to customize. I will probably make a few more of these before my trip, as they sew up so quickly (literally a few hours a bag)! LOVE it!

I did my first Amber in a Sew-a-long! I had sew much fun I got ahead of myself. I’ve only made the large but will try the smaller one soon. Instructions are fabulous as always with Swoon Patterns.

It’s a very well written pattern, explained with a big detail and very easy to follow! All the pattern pieces have the name of the pattern, a description and the number of pieces we should cut. I’ve made a few and this is a gorgeous bag, very practical to wear every day.

What a great pattern! I’ve only made small Amber but I made 3 of them. My first one was made with a faux suede/leather material and turned out perfect. Directions are well written and easy to follow. More Ambers will be made!

Loved making this bag and the small version is perfect for my tween niece. This pattern, as all of the others I have made, are straightforward and easy to follow. My only advice would be to make sure you read through the directions before arranging your pattern pieces.

Love this pattern!! It is so clear and easy to construct and gives such a professional finish! I’ve made it in both sizes and upgraded the snaps and connectors to leather both times. This pattern was my first time sewing bags- now I’m addicted. 🙂

This was the easiest pattern I’ve ever sewn! Other reviewer didn’t understand how pieces fit together. When patterns are PDF’s, you have to split a piece onto two or maybe even three pages. Match up the pieces without overlapping by matching the letters. For example, match up “A” on one page with “A” on the second page. It was a beautiful result when I finished and can’t wait to give it to my daughter for Christmas!

I wanted this pattern to have a review from someone who had actually made one. (3 actually!) This is a fun, fairly quick sew that people love! I get compliments whenever I wear mine! I would say this is my favorite pattern but every month I change my mind with each new release!

I did get an email reply. The answer to my question I found in the instructions … those odd pieces were add-ons to other pattern pieces to make them larger. It would have been nice had that been indicated on the pieces, but at least now I know what to do with them.

Haven’t made the purse, but looks pretty straightforward.

There are several pieces in the pattern that don’t have names or descriptions …. don’t know if they are main fabric or lining or what part of the purse or how many to cut (out of which fabric), etc.

I’ve sent an email to you all, and hopefully I’ll get an answer. In the meantime I am going to try to figure it out … But first look was not successful.

Otherwise it looks like a nice pattern … and I’ll update my rating according to the response from Swoon.
