For sure, swoonpatterns.com isn’t a perfect place to share my equestrian hobby, but I have to start somewhere, so I thought that this category will be ok.

Thing for many riders. Some riders do not feel the necessity to use them and
consider them an unnecessary accessory, while others can’t imagine functioning
without them. What is the Reality? If you choose to use a rug, which one would be
acceptable for your horse? It is true that within their
    But,
we need to note that horses working in horse riding don’t have the exact same functioning circumstances as the horses residing in their natural habitat. To start with, horses training below the saddle are usually shaven, which damages
their natural protective coating against low temperatures. Most time when it is cold outdoors, these horses spend indoors, where they’re not subject to reduced temperatures. The matter of another diet is essential. That is precisely why we can’t expect them to have the immunity that their free brothers have. While
changing the horses’ customs and surroundings, we will need to provide them with
protection from the negative effects of e.g. weather. For that very reason we’ve got various types of carpeting. Which kind would be most useful to your horse and
if to use it? We will try to explain that.

In stores it is possible to come across these types of carpets:

Coaching — this kind of rug is set on together with a
saddle. It will be ideal for colder days. We should mention that
training with them should not be too exhausting, because your horse might
have difficulty with losing heat surplus from the body. Dry — usually made of fleece or some other
material with moisture-absorbing properties. This type of carpets is usually
used after instruction in order to wash the horse. In stores, you can locate them as
fleece carpeting. Stable — recommended for shaved horses. They
should protect the horse from cooling too much, but in the exact same time they
do not block air flow, so the horse does not sweat. To be used in stalls. It will protect
your horse from the wind and rain. Made of substances easy to wash. Mostly they’re made to be as watertight as possible. Fly — utilized to protect the horse from insects.
Usually made of mesh material. This kind of a rug is super useful in the
summertime, where horses are particularly susceptible to insects’ bites of all
    kinds. Winter —
carpets using padding. Usually it is possible to pick from a couple
of thickness of padding for one model. Shipping — to be utilized to safeguard the horse
    during transportation.

Another thing is to adjust the
Proper length. Namely, how to select proper size for your own horse. Particular producers have different size markers. It is possible to locate letter sizes (S, M, L etc.),
centimeters, or inches. There is a rule where for units of length is the length
of the rug on the horse’s back. This value is crucial for choosing the proper size. E.g. a well-known manufacturer of equestrian equipment Eskadron claims S = 125 cm, M = 135 cm, L = 145 cm, etc.. Of course, it is best when you’re able to take a look at a graph when all the rug’s dimensions are mentioned. Then you
can make confident a specified size will fit your horse correctly.

    As you can
See, by using good rug you are able to help your horse in managing unpleasant
Weather, insects, or protect him during transportation. Additionally, You should not overdo
The whole carpet item. If you use them if they Aren’t required, you can disturb
    But You Have to remember
That without a rug once the weather is bad, you undermine your horse e.g. into a
Higher chance of catching a cold.

This is such a fun pattern! This is only the second bag pattern I’ve ever made, and I jumped right in with lots of vinyl and the large commuter size. I took the steps one at a time and it came out great!

It’s a great handbag with two stylish outside pockets. It’s my favorite pattern so far. The most difficult part for me is the handles connectors. It’s fun to play with fabric combinations

One of my first bag patterns as a beginner. Easy to read and fun to make! The main zipper confused me a little but the Facebook group was eager to help. Love this pattern and company!

This is an incredibly put together pattern! I love making this one, as the front panel leaves a LOT of room for fun designs or highlighting a part of a print. I chose to connectors from another bag (Blanche) for the bag in my photo. I wouldn’t call this a beginner pattern, but more like intermediate. You want to be comfortable with zipper installation first. This one can be a little tricky, but if you take your time and do it carefully, it will always come out perfect.

I made the smaller Annette as my first-ever handbag when I started sewing 2 years ago, and I still get compliments from strangers when I have it on my arm. I love it! I have since learned that instructions in Swoon patterns are excellent, which is one reason I was so successful even on my first attempt. I didn’t know that I’d become addicted to making handbags, so I didn’t even take good photos of it… I was too excited to use it and show it off. Great design and well-written pattern!

  9. Linda (verified owner)

Love this pattern. I made the large one in leather. There are so many possibilities with this pattern and the instructions are really written so well that it’s a breeze to make

Great pattern! Came out beautifully the first time. Friends thought it was a designer bag. I consider myself an advanced beginning sewist. You can do this!
