This was the first bag that I’ve sewn, the pattern was easy to follow and it’s a great size. And I love that it’s reversible too.

This is a very easy and quick to make bag. I used 2 different fabrics for it and have had people stopping me on the street to ask where I bought it from. I love both of the colourways I have made

This is one of my favorite swoon patterns. I have made several of these bags. Very beginner friendly as no extra hardware is required. I even made one for myself that I use almost everyday. I also love that it’s reversible.

It was my first swoon pattern and I just love it. I did 2 bags in 3 days. The patterns are so easy to follow, easy for a beginner like me.

Super cute bag. I pieced the middle panel and it’s pretty colorful. I also used denim, without interfacing, on the sides. Still has good body to it. I used the longer straps and instead of ties, just sewed two buttons back to back on a strap to throw over the opening. It’s easy. I do plan to make another and add some other features like a zipper pocket, magnetic closure, and key leash.

This bag was really easy to make and came out beautifully. I used the longer strap feature. I also added piping to the seams. It looks really nice and I will be making more of this one. Next time I will add pockets.

j’ai cousu ce sac pour un cadeau. j’ai ajouté à l’intérieur 2 poches dont une zippée et un galon porte-clefs. j’ai également utilisé une fermeture magnétique. le patron est facile à suivre (même par une française).

I sewed this bag for a gift. I added inside 2 pockets including a zipper and a key hanger. I also used a magnetic closure. The pattern is easy to follow (even by a French).

This has been such a fun bag to make!!! I made mine in fushia and a batik fabric and did the opposite inside! i am going to be making a bunch of these!, going to try the longer strap and maybe a pocket! I am addicted! Thank you!I never dreamed I would be sewing handbags!

I made a Laney in grey tweed and red chenille. My version is not reversible. It would be too heavy tweed inside and out. I used up some plain raspberry fabric for the lining. Really pleased with the size and how it sits nicely on my shoulder.

Laney was my first Swoon bag to sew, but she sure won’t be my last. The pattern was easy to follow and the bag went together easily. The bag, as printed, has no hardware or closures of any kind so it is great for a beginner. It is a good size and offers the ability to customize for a more experienced sewist.

My daughters (11 & 13) like to make this pattern for their friends birthdays. It is a great pattern for newbies

Sewed up just fine with no problems or stress–I really like carrying it, great shape and size for my needs. Will make again. Used the longer straps because I find a lot of purse straps shorter than I like, but wish I hadn’t. Will also add interior pocket next time, although I rarely use them. Pattern shape works great to use up apparel remnants–center piece is good for something that requires fussy-cutting.

I have made 3 of these now, plus one tiny one for my granddaughter’s 18″doll. LOVE this pattern! I added an inside zipper pocket to mine. Next time I will add a pocket on the outside as well. So easy to customize. I and the people I made these for continue to get compliments on the style of this bag. Thanks Alicia!

Gorgeous bag and very easy to follow pattern. This was my first time sewing a purse and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Very easy to add “extras” – swivel clip, magnetic clasp and interior slip pockets – love the ability to customize.
